Omprakash also offers grants to potential volunteers who need external funding to defray the costs of their planned trip. Ecoteer Is cutting out the middle man reducing volunteer fees dramatically. Ecoteer provides a portal for travellers and projects to find each other. Ecoteer offers volunteering placements in ecotourism, teaching, conservation and farming in over 50 countries worldwide.

Independent Volunteer is a Wiki-Based Hub for volunteer projects around the world. It's hosting several hundred volunteer projects worldwide, from micro scale to large scale, on all continents not permanently frozen. What all the projects have in common: They do not try to make profit from the volunteers and therefore ask for less than $500/month and many of them are for free.
